The efforts to provide free education to 5000 odd poor girls continue to get awards to Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat (JKP) working in Uttar Pradesh's Pratapgarh district for the last few years. This time the organisation has received the prestigious 'World Icon Award 2018' in Bangkok on Sunday.
The award, instituted by M4U, was received by JKP Trustee Ram Puri on behalf of Chairperson Vishakha Tripathi. Speaking after receiving the award, Puri said that the aim is to ensure they have free education from the primary to post-graduate level, and to make them self-reliant.

JKP has been providing free education to some 5,000 poor girls in Pratapgarh through the Kripalu Girls Vidyalaya, Kripalu Girls Intermediate College and the Kripalu Girls Primary School. The Trust has also set up health facilities in rural areas, with three well-equipped charitable hospitals -- at Managarh in Pratapgarh, and Barsana and Vrindavan in Mathura -- providing free medical facilities to patients.
Other awards:
Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat received the prestigious “Swasth Hindustan” award for providing excellent and free health care services to the society through Jagadguru Kripalu Chikitsalaya hospitals in December 2017.

Background:
Parishat which was earlier known as Sadhna Bhawan Trust, had been established in 1970 by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj. It is a non-profit, charitable, educational and spiritual organisation, dedicated to increasing spiritual awareness.
Charitable work:
JKP is also actively involved in a range of charitable projects and activities. JKP’s expansion has been necessary to cater for the growing number of people seeking spiritual guidance and support, in addition to the broader social welfare issues facing people at large. Consequently, JKP is involved in an ever increasing number of charitable activities coinciding with its ongoing spiritual programmes.
