About 6,000 NGOs have been served show cause notices for not submitting annual returns for various Financial Years for the period 2010-11 to 2015-16. Under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act( FCRA),  The details of these NGOs is available on the official website of Ministry of Home Affairs.MOS Home Kiren Rijiju stated this in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday in a written reply to question. 

As per FCRA, 2010 and rules made there under, every person who receives foreign contribution under FCRA, 2010, shall submit a signed or digitally signed report electronically online with scanned copies of income and expenditure statement, receipt and payment account and balance sheet for every financial year within nine months of the closure of the financial year.

The details of receipts and utilization of foreign funds are being furnished by NGOs in their Annual Returns.  The same are monitored in accordance with the provisions of FCRA 2010, and rules made thereunder.
