An NGO Chetna has written a letter to new Environment Minister Dr Harshvardhan seeking his attention toward the noise pollution in South Delhi’s Kidwai Nagar, Sarojini Nagar, Mahipalpur Road and road widening of Mehrauli. In these areas, lot of redevelopment work is underway. Chetna said it is shocking that none of the authorities have conducted any study of ambient noise level for redeveloping the Kidwai Nagar, Sarojini Nagar, Road widening of Mehrauli, Mahipalpur Road.The organization has sent several letters to the Delhi Development Authority and Urban Development ministry from time to time seeking action on the matter but got no response. The NGO has sent details of the letters sent by it to several departments in the last eight months.
